 Low Fat Two Toned Kubaneh

Using the EasyCook multi-cooker
 
Around 550g Flour in total:
Ingredients:
  • For the spelt dough:
  • 2¼ measuring cups of Spelt flour
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Dry yeast
  • ¼ tsp Baking improver
  • Lukewarm water as needed to create soft, non-sticky dough
  • Smear the ball of dough with a bit of olive oil, cover and let it rise
  • For the white dough:
  • 2¼ measuring cups of White flour
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Dry yeast
  • ¼ tsp Baking improver
  • Lukewarm water as needed to create soft, non-sticky dough
  • Smear the ball of dough with a bit of olive oil, cover and let it rise
 
Instructions:
  • Using a rolling pin, roll out the 2 balls of dough, each to a rectangle.
  • Roll the dark dough into a rectangle as shown in the photo.
  • Roll the white dough into a rectangle as shown in the photo.
  • Spread half of the margarine all over the dark rectangle (I’ve used a total of 35g of margarine for both rectangles, you can add more, to your own taste).
  • Add a desired filling on the edge of the rectangle (I added: ground beef fried with onions and salt, pepper and paprika)
  • Cut small cubes of cooked beef and baked eggplants (“fried”).
  • Place the white rectangle over the darm one and spread the rest of the margarine all over it.
  • Roll into a long tube and cut to pieces as shown in the photo (I got 8 pieces)
  • Arrange the slices in the EasyCook pot (I recommend placing a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom greased up with a bit of margarine, I also greased up the sides of the pot a bit)
  • Let it rise in the EasyCook pot: 45min on 35*c, then 40min on 120*c and 10min on 130*c.
  • Flip it over and brown it for another 12min on 130*c.
  • It’s possible to use a combination setting.
  • Serve with tomato paste/ zhug/ fresh vegetables/ hard boiled egg.
 
And we have a delicious comfort meal that’s gone in a snap!
 
By the way, the *Easy Cook has a heat preservation function that starts automatically after the cooking process is over. To finish and turn off the function, press and hold the "Warm/Cancel" button. The cooker will display all the programs, and the heating process will be over.
