 Festive roast with wine and paprika

A classic and festive roast for Shabbat or holiday, the kind of dish that always succeeds.
Cooking time: 3 hours, 8-10 servings
  • 1.5 kg quality shoulder roast no. 5
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups of red wine
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp date honey
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 peeled garlic cloves
Preparation method:
Using the manual program "PRO" are set to 140 degrees for 3 hours.
Place the onions and oil in a pot, close the lid and cook 3 minutes. Add the meat, close the lid and cook another 10 minutes. It is recommended to turn the meat on its side during cooking. Open the lid, pour the wine and cook with an open lid for 2 min. Add the garlic, paprika, date honey, salt and pepper. Add a glass of boiling water, close the lid, change the heat by pressing and holding the "TEMP" button, the display will flash, and change the temperature to 100*c, press the "START" button to continue , Close the lid and cook until the program is finished.
 It is recommended to check during cooking that there is enough liquid.
To serve, slice the roast into slices, pour the sauce over it and serve.
