 Beef and Root Vegetable Stew - Adi Shilon Kmisa

A beef and root vegetable stew in wine and date honey with EasyCook
  • Beef shoulder chunk (about 1kg)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Parsley root
  • Jerusalem artichoke
  • Sweet potato
  • Carrot
  • Mushrooms
  • Rosemary
  • Garlic
  • Date honey
  • Wine
  • Chicken stock
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup Wine
  • ½ cup Date honey
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • Sear the beef chunk on the EasyCook FRY setting on all sides
  • Add the coarsely cut vegetables to the pot
  • Place rosemary on the beef and a few whole garlic cloves
In a separate bowl, mix:
  • ½ cup Wine
  • ½ cup Date honey
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • Salt, pepper
  • Pour over the stew and bring to a boil
  • Cook on the manual PRO setting for 30 minutes on 160*c and wait for some liquids to evaporate
  • Adjust seasoning to taste
  • Set on SLOW COOK setting for 6 hours
  • Let it cook on Shabbat mode for the night
